History

Photography has been my main hobby since acquiring my first SLR at the age of 15. This interest has focussed on unposed, candid photographs of family and friends, together with photographs of buildings, associated with my professional work as an architect.

I have taken photographs of family events and celebrations for number of years. More recently I have begun to take on commissions to photograph weddings and other events, as well as portrait shots, both in-situ and with studio backgrounds.

As a qualified architect, I have had an interest in photographing buildings, which developed since being a student. Having photographed buildings with good quality cameras for a number of years, I took the opportunity more recently to develop this interest to a professional level. This required investment in cameras and optics which allow greater control of the composition,  facilitating close up wide angle views centered on the subject matter without introducing distortion. Using this equipment requires some practice and patience, but this is more than justified by the end results.

I have an association with other photographers allowing flexibility in the commissions we can accept.

As a new business we are prepared to accept small scale and partial commissions to establish a broader portfolio. Some guidance on pricing is set-out on the contact page.
